How to barbeque? Like scholastic subjects such as civil law and mathematics, learning how to barbeque is a concept to be learned and exercised properly.

In the following paragraphs, I will provide a brief introduction on the basics of learning how to barbecue. This includes how to operate your gas grills, grilling and barbequing to the right temperature, proper maintenance guidelines, and employing safety methods for a safe and sound barbequing experience.

First and foremost, stay organized. All ingredients and slabs of meat should be close to the barbeque smoker before you start grilling. Grilling requires organization! You do not need to run back and forth to retrieve grilling recipes, seasoning powder, or other condiments. Stay close to your gas grill instead by following this rule. Ensure that there is enough fuel in the barbecue grill. Make sure there is a sufficient supply of charcoal and that propane tanks are full. Gas grills, the Weber grill, and barbeque smokers also require the right heating temperature for creating that lip smacking food. On charcoal grills, preheat to at least 500 degrees Fahrenheit. This will take a while, but better to wait than to have undercooked, nasty rare burgers that will make your stomach hurl!

Cleanliness is key if you want to maintain an efficient barbecue. Charcoal ashes and bits of food lying around the grilling surface from yesterday's meal will not fare well for your guests, so take appropriate measures! Clean all grates thoroughly using a scraper and a brush to wipe loose debris away.

Heat and smoke collect inside the grill to such a degree that opening the lid will delay your cooking time. When cooking slabs of meat or other barbecue grilling foods, keep it covered! By opening the lid prematurely, you are disrupting the serenity the meat is going through. Pretend the piece of fish baking in there is in a spa – nobody wants to be interrupted while they're in a spa! Albeit brief, these instructions should get you started on your way to knowing a tad or two about barbeque grilling. Happy bbq!
